DOWNLOADING YOUR EBOOKS
Your order summary page will open after the payment process is complete. Under each title you've purchased, click on the green button, "Get the book Now!" A window appears providing you with three options for receiving your eBook:
- Click on "Download eBook NOW!!" and you can open the file immediately or "save as" to the destination of your choice.
- Click on "Send eBook to my Email" and the book arrives in your inbox via email attachment.
- Kindle/Kindle app wireless delivery: Have your book delivered wirelessly to your Kindle or Kindle app. Enter your Kindle or Kindle app email address on your Account Profile page by clicking the "Edit" button in the "Kindle Email Address" section.
Please note that this email address must end with "@kindle.com" and be identified in your Amazon.com account as a bona fide Kindle email address. To find your Kindle email address, go to your Amazon.com account and navigate to the "Digital Content" section. Then click "Manage Your Content And Devices." At the top of the screen, click the tab, "Settings." On the page that appears, scroll down until you reach the section, "Personal Document Settings." There, you will see your Kindle email address/es listed in the first section labeled, "Send-To-Kindle Email Settings."
Another place that identifies your Kindle email address is on your Kindle device or Kindle app. On a Kindle device, go to "Settings," then "Personalize Your Kindle." In this section is the item, "Send-to-Kindle E-mail." Your Kindle email address is listed there. On a Kindle app, go to "Settings" and you will see the "Send-To-Kindle Email address" listed.
Once the correct Kindle email address is added to your Amber Quill Press account, it will be stored for you and applied when you choose the "Send eBook to my Kindle/Kindle app" option. This email address can be changed on your Account Profile page by clicking the "Edit" button in the "Kindle Email Address" section.
Note: You will need to add the Amber Quill Press email addresses to your Amazon-approved Personal Document E-Mail List. Here's how you do it:
1) Log on to your Amazon account and navigate to the "Digital Content" section. Click "Manage Your Content and Devices."
2) At the top of the screen, click the tab, "Settings."
3) On the page that appears, scroll down until you reach the section, "Personal Document Settings." Within that section, navigate to the "Approved Personal Document E-Mail List." There, click "Add a new approved e-mail address" link.
4) Add "customer_service@amberquill.com" and "@amberquill.com" to your list.
Your eBook has also been sent to your bookshelf and can be downloaded from there. Access your bookshelf by clicking on "Bookshelf" in the menu bar at the top of all AQP webpages. Download your book by clicking on the "Get The Book Now" button next to the title and following the prompts. Please note that you need to be logged in to your website customer account to access your bookshelf.
Books can also be accessed from your Account Profile Page by clicking on "Order History." All books from every order you've placed with Amber Quill Press from the revamped website can be downloaded using the process as described above.
NOTE: With the exception of the wireless delivery to Kindles and Kindle apps, you will need to download your book to your computer, first, before you can transfer it to your eReader.
EBOOK READERS
The following discusses popular eBook reading devices on the market today, including the formats supported by the device and downloading tips.
NOTE: For the most up-to-date and detailed information regarding how to transfer eBooks to your particular device, check the device manufacturer's User Manual or contact the manufacturer's website Tech Support.
Android Smartphones:
Use PDF or EPUB files in conjunction with either of the following free software:

Use PRC files when downloading to a Kindle app.

If you experience difficulty downloading a book to your phone, you can download it directly from your email to your phone. To do this, visit your Account Profile Page and click "Existing Orders". Select the order containing the book, then click "Get The Book Now!" Choose the option "Send eBook to my Email."
Blackberry:
Use PRC files with the free Mobipocket Reader. You can find it at

iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch:
There are many apps for reading eBooks on these devices including those from Kindle, Barnes and Noble, and Kobo. Check the app you've installed to determine the correct format. For example, the iBook app works with EPUB files and PDFs. The Kindle app uses PRC files.
Use PDF or EPUB files in conjunction with the free software, Bluefire Reader ( www.bluefirereader.com ). You can transfer eBooks to Bluefire using iTunes.
HTML files are readable from the browser, Safari.
Please note that while the Stanza app supports a wide variety of formats, it has been discontinued and thus no support is available if you run into a problem opening files.

For the iPad: Log into your Amber Quill Press account from your iPad. Purchase an EPUB book, and download it directly to your device. You can also drag and drop EPUB files into iTunes. Look for them in the iBook section of your device.
Kindle models and Kindle Apps:
Use PRC files.
Downloading tip: Amber Quill Press offers wireless delivery of PRC files to your Kindle device and all Kindle apps. Here's how you do it. After your order is completed, click on the "Get The Book Now" button. A page will appear with book delivery options, one of which is "Send eBook to my Kindle / Kindle app." If you have previously entered your Kindle or Kindle app email address in your Account Profile, this address will be displayed here. If you would like to change your Kindle email address, or have not entered a Kindle email address into the system, yet, please go your Account Profile page and enter or modify as appropriate in the "Kindle Email Address" section. Then proceed with the "Send eBook to my Kindle / Kindle app" process. The eBook will be delivered to your Kindle or Kindle App within minutes. You must add "customer_service@amberquill.com" and "@amberquill.com" to your Amazon Approved Personal Document Email List.
Can't find your eBook in your Kindle App? Be sure to check the Cloud and then the "Docs" and "All Items" sections of your library.
Note: Amazon charges a small fee for WiFi transfers.
Kobo:
Read EPUB files with the help of Aldiko software ( www.aldiko.com ).
Linux/Unix:
Most web browsers can read HTML files.

Downloading tip: Connect your Sony eReader to your computer via a USB cable. Open your Sony elibrary. Go to File>Import Files and navigate to the folder containing your eBooks. Select the first book to import. A popup box will appear. Select OPEN and the book will appear in your Sony library. Repeat this process with each book. Click and drag each title in the Sony library to the READER icon on the left sidebar of the library.
