Mark Mellon is a novelist who supports his family by working as an attorney for the FDIC. He’s led a checkered life with experience as a mover, lifeguard/swimming instructor, door-to-door salesman, carpenter’s helper, Russian translator, soldier, phone solicitor, collections counselor, and teacher. His work has recently appeared in magazines such as Sex And Murder, Dark Gothic Resurrected, and A Twist Of Noir. Mark is also the author of a Western novel, The Pirooters, and Napoleon Concerto, as well as a novella, Escape From Byzantium, which recently received the 2010 Independent Publishers Book Award Silver Medal in the Fantasy/Science Fiction category.
