Bruce Markusen is an author and writer in Cooperstown, NY. A native of Bronxville, NY, he has previously written four books, all on baseball; Haunted House Of The Vampire is his first book in the genre of young adult horror. A graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, Markusen has lectured on the macabre and the supernatural several times, including a presentation entitled "Ghosts, Vampires, and Witches: The Spirits of Halloween," which was delivered to the general public at the Cooperstown Village Library on October 31, 1999. He also hosted a presentation, "Hauntings and Hobgoblins: A History of Halloween," in Cooperstown on October 29, 2000. An accomplished public speaker, Markusen has delivered numerous lectures on a variety of subjects, including a presentation, "The Process of Writing a Book," at the Cooperstown Village Library on October 20, 1998.
