The long-awaited and riveting sequel to the award-winning Kiss Of Deceit.
Two long years have passed since Marcus Snake Gallego left behind Henry County and Detective LeAnne McVeigh, leaving her to mourn the fact he had ridden into the sunset without her. But when he finally returns to her Ohio town, he isnt alone. Snake has brought along a friend, Egan Tate, who looks the epitome of evil. And if things couldnt possibly get worse, her best friend, the good doctor Whitney Montgomery, has her eyes set on Tate.
When a vicious murder suddenly stirs the relatively peaceful community to turmoil, a murder reminiscent of the killings that plagued the county several years earlier, LeAnne begins to wonder about this mystery man Snake has befriended. Has a copycat killer truly emerged, or does Henry County have a ghost on its hands?

"Winner, Word Museum's Reviewer's Choice Masterpieces Award!...5 Flames!...The story starts off slower than its predecessor, but by the third chapter I couldn't put it down. I had to find out what happened to the two couples and who killed Virginia...Pat Rasey is a master at keeping the story moving and interesting. She puts in all the right elements of romance, suspense and mystery. The cliffhanger's at the end of both of these stories make me anxious to read the next book in the series."—Laurie Biundo, Word Museum
"Oh, how we love Patricia A. Rasey's Biker Bad Boys! One thing about Rasey's books—the action never stops. It's one thing after another, extremely well paced between the biker gang and romantic scenes. I've read almost all of Rasey's books to date, and I see her fast growing into a top romantic suspense/thriller author. The story never lags, even for a second. I was amazed at how much she really does have going on at the same time—quite a few subplots, but all are clear, all work on their own as well as with each other. Someone who has never read one of Rasey's books may think, oh, bikers, who cares. But in reading Eyes Of Betayal, you really get into the hearts and souls of these two basically decent young men who fell into this way of life, but now want out so they can live normal lives in a normal town. I truly grew to like both Snake and Egan (a lot) and found myself rooting for them all the way. Both the resolution and the surprise twist at the end left me smiling and anxious to read the next in this series. Super top-notch romantic suspense/thriller all the way!"—Rendezvous Review Magazine
"...Readers of Kiss Of Deceit were aghast when author Patricia Rasey daringly broke all romantic conventions, allowing her hero to ride into the sunset without his heroine. Such a break of convention marks Rasey¹s work, as she imbues her text with the harsh realities and subtle nuances that make her novels dazzle fans time and again. The fast-paced Eyes Of Betayal continues to keep fans guessing as to the identity of a vicious murderer, echoing the unsolved killing of Snake's wife from Kiss Of Deceit. With surgeon like precision, Rasey cuts to the heart of human motivation, revealing the striking similarities of seemingly totally disparate characters. Each scene springs vividly to life, living in the imagination long beyond when the last page is turned. Indeed, like the man she attributes to inspiring 'Villain,' author Rasey writes with style and class. Fans just cannot get enough of her bad boy heroes and will be eagerly awaiting her next novel. Eyes Of Betayal earns the WordWeaving Award for Excellence."—Cindy Penn, WordWeaving
"I believe Patricia Rasey knows exactly how to hook a reader right from the
very beginning, which is what she did with her latest thriller. Patricia pulls no punches with her books. They are gritty, realistic and down-right spine tingling...This book had me on pins and needles throughout the whole book. I was so glad to see Leanne and Marcus (Snake) get back together. I was especially glad to see that the case from Kiss Of Deceit solved in this book but the cliffhanger ending had me clamoring for the next book in this series ASAP. Patricia Rasey can't write it fast enough for me!"—Kathy Boswell, The Best Reviews
"5 Daggers!...Ms. Rasey has written a spellbinding sequel to her previous book Kiss Of Deceit. As with Kiss Of Deceit, Eyes Of Betayal has everything that a reader could want in a book. It has suspense, thrills, mystery, intrigue, murder, and sensual/sexual moments. Some of the characters are now old friends. They bring the same excitement, intrigue, and life to an already fascinating story. They feel real, full of passion and life. And there are some new ones, with just as much passion and life. Ms. Rasey has a special talent in making even the most hardened character very likable. She shows their vulnerability and you find yourself actually cheering them on towards their objective. Eyes Of Betayal starts off where Kiss Of Deceit left, answering many questions as to why certain people are the way that they are, and why things happened the way that they did. It also brings together the one couple you wished would get together, as well as opening a whole new romance for another. Eyes Of Betayal is a very fast-paced story that reads so smoothly that you cannot put it down. You have to know what is going to happen on the next page. Before you know it you have reached that last page and are left breathless, wanting more.
I highly recommend Eyes Of Betayal to everyone. Anyone who likes a fast-paced mystery/thriller with a lot of intrigue is going to love this book. The only problem I had with Ms Rasey's Eyes Of Betayal, and that goes for all her books, is that she always leaves you wanting more. She just can't write them fast enough for me."—Sue Hartigan, All About Murder Reviews
Read a short excerpt...
..."Ready?" she asked. Tate swore she hid a smile. Yes, she probably loved the idea of causing him distress.
He nodded. Whitney placed one gloved finger at his brow to draw the wound taut, then carefully stuck the needle through the skin. Again, Tate didn't so much as flinch, even though the small prick hurt like hell.
After pulling the thread through the wound and tying it off, she snipped the end. "You doing okay?"
Hell, no, he wanted to shout. Having her this close between his spread thighs was much more torturous than any needle and thread going through his skin. Like it or not, she had sent his blood pumping in his veins. It was a wonder the wound didn't spray a crimson fountain. As it was, his leathers had suddenly become constricting.
"Just stitch the god-damned wound," he grumbled. What did he care if she thought any worse of him. He needed to get the hell out of the hospital and as far away from the doc as possible.
Moments later, she snipped the last stitch and checked her handiwork. "You're going to live. Doesn't look like you'll get much of a scar from this."
Tate studied Whitney as her finger gently traced the wound. When their eyes locked, he felt as though someone had delivered a sucker-punch to his gut. He couldn't remember the last time he had wanted a woman as badly as he did the classy lady before him. As of late, taking a chick to bed had become more of a habit, just a routine, something he did. But this one…this one he wanted with the force of a hurricane. Somehow she had gotten beneath his skin.
And that…that he never allowed…
