Briony walked past him. She caught his glance and paused at the door. A whole litany of thoughts raced through her brain at something approaching warp speed. Only a second actually passed, but it was enough to question twenty four years of reasonably sane behavior and every warning she had ever received about how to conduct yourself with dangerous men. She closed the door and turned back to the delectable Mr. Harris.

"Mr. Harris, I've just had a thought. It's quite an unexpected thought. I mean, I don't usually think it. No actually, I do usually think it, I just don't usually say it. Well, usually is too often because I don't often meet people with…Oh shit! The way I see it is this… I'm never going to see you again after tonight and I have a feeling that I am going to regret this for the rest of my life if I don't say it…"

Sean had listened to the rambling speech with amusement. Somehow he had an idea what was coming next. This was not going to be his most difficult negotiation.

"Briony, could you get to the point?"
