...“Hey!” his lover complained, struggling to pull away. “She can’t boss us around in our own house!”
“You want to argue with a woman who can bench press the Statue of Liberty without breaking a sweat?” Gary pushed open the bedroom door and grinned at Cole. “Besides, I thought you wanted me to kiss and make it better.”
He didn’t give the other man a chance to speak before pulling him into his arms and kissing him.
Cole’s lips parted and his tongue darted out to meet Gary’s in a duel that was familiar, yet new every time.
Their hands moved urgently, tugging at shirts to feel the hot skin beneath. As they stumbled toward the bed, Gary thought he heard a door slam shut. Then he lost interest as Cole pressed his hard arousal against Gary’s own.
They bumped against the bed and went down, Cole beneath him.
Gary pulled back, pushing himself an arm’s length away as he felt Cole’s wince. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” Cole’s denial was too quick. “Just a lump in the mattress. We should get a new one.”
“This is a new mattress.” Gary looked into the green-blue eyes. They were focused, but shadowed with pain. He sighed and pushed a strand of tawny hair off Cole’s high forehead before rolling off the bed. “Stay here. I’ll get you an aspirin.”
Cole caught his hand, pulling him to a stop before he’d taken two steps. “Hurry back.” He patted the mattress beside him with his other hand, his lips curved in a sexy grin. “I’ll keep your spot warm so we can cuddle.”
Even as his pulse jumped in anticipation, Gary cocked an eyebrow. “Uh-huh. You can’t even handle a little kiss and you think you can cuddle?” he teased.
“Hey, I’m a superhero. I’m up for anything...”
